Jan Vertonghen Premier Cup: Germinal Beerschot Antwerpen 2002

Jan Vertonghen

Vertonghen made his official Ajax debut in the dramatic Champions League qualifier against FC København on 23 August 2006 before joining RKC Waalwijk on loan to secure regular first team football. He returned to Ajax and has recently signed a new contract to keep him at the club until 2013. He is a regular in the Belgian national team and helped them to a remarkable 4th place finish in the 2008 Olympics, defeating Italy in the semi-final.

Moussa Dembele Premier Cup: Germinal Beerschot Antwerpen 2002

Dembele played alongside Vertonghen and Aborah and progressed to the senior team before transferring to Willem II. Now playing for AZ Alkmaar, he is a key part of the Belgian National team and scored two goals in Belgium’s defeat of Italy at the Beijing Olympics.

Stanley Aborah Premier Cup: Germinal Beerschot Antwerpen 2002

Tournament MVP in the European Premier Cup in Lisbon, Aborah was instrumental in GBA becoming the first Belgian team to qualify for the Premier Cup World Finals. He made his debut with the Ajax A-team in 2004 and spent time on loan with FC Den Bosch to gain experience. Although he signed for FCV Dender EH in 2007, he returned to FC Den Bosch the same year. Aborah has dual Ghanaian & Belgian citizenship, representing Belgium at U-18.

Kristof Maes Premier Cup: Germinal Beerschot Antwerpen 2002

Maes progressed to the senior team and has represented his country at U-18.

Jonathan Blondel Premier Cup: FC Bruges 1999

Blondel now plays for the senior team and made his international debut at just 17 years-of-age.

Sébastian Hermans Premier Cup: FC Bruges 1998

Hermans joined KMSK Deinze in 2006 before moving on to VW Hamme. He has represented his country at U-18 and U-20 & U-21.
